Public Lecture on Landscape Architecture, "the landscape typology, history, environment"

The landscape architecture study program held a public lecture with the theme landscape typology, history, environment on Friday, 17 May 2024, which was held in the Wicwakarma Hall, 4th floor of the Faculty of Engineering Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar. This activity presented Alexander R. Cuthbert as a speaker. He is Emeritus Professor  of Urban Planning and Development at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. The public lecture was attended by students from the landscape architecture study program consisting of 2nd, 4th and 6th semester students, and attended by lecturers.

The public lecture on landscape typology, history, environment discusses various types of landscape typology in several countries such as China, Japan, India, England, France, Indonesia, etc., where in placing the landscape elements you do not only consider aesthetics, but how to place the landscape elements so that they has a deep meaning. After the presentation of material from the speaker, followed by a question and answer session, students as public lecture participants were very enthusiastic and asked several questions.

Landscape Architecture Study Program Lecturer Ir. Kadek Edi Saputra, S.T., M.Ars as the coordinator of the public lecture said that this activity aims to provide more knowledge and open students' insight into how landscape designs exist abroad, and how to select and place landscape elements in several landscape typologies that exist abroad.
